Mass. Pot Retailers Drop Delivery Regs Suit Amid Backlash

Law360 (January 25, 2021, 5:27 PM EST) — A trade group representing Massachusetts dispensaries has dropped its lawsuit against the state’s cannabis regulator, pulling the plug on a controversial bid to roll back new rules granting delivery licenses exclusively to low-income and minority applicants.

The Commonwealth Dispensary Association said in a statement Monday that it had “determined it is in the best interest of the industry and our members to drop the lawsuit” against the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, even though the group still had reservations about the new rules.
